Une ville magnifique! I liked exploring here but it is challenging if you don’t speak French. (I speak Spanish and English so it was hard)... also the transportation around here is limited so plan accordingly. Over all, I hope to come back when my French has improved!
Nice city butcostly
Tours is famous for historical buildings, this station is one of the authentic design one. There are many train everyday, so suite convenient.
I took a train to Charles de Gaulle airport on Friday morning. First train needs 1 stop, 5 min and I changed to TGV as 2nd train. Total duration is approximately 2 hours. About €67.
Free WiFi is nice while waiting on the trains! We came in May 2018 and the strikes made this station terrible though. I hope France figures this strike situation out soon!
Easy access to tram and intercity bus station. The train station has many ticket vending machines, coffee shop, sandwich and Macaron shop, restaurants, book shop and photo station. But, there are not enough chairs for passengers waiting inside the station.
The station brings you right into the city. Hotels are a short walk away.
No wonder they call it "le jardin de la France", it's full of flowers and greens. The castles are all over the Loire valley. Plan on spending few days here.
Great city! Beautiful. Friendly atmosphere.
